My work consists of a range of mediums: deconstructed architectural abstractions, sculptures, photographed models, paintings, and drawings. I seek to capture the essence of the grotesque and frightful reality that lies in my response to natural disasters, violence, religion, and politics. My intention is to form iconic imagery and mythical symbols through the building of collapsed structures that juxtapose Roman and Gothic design and architecture with commercial design and architecture. I scar surfaces and use harsh, raw, mark making as part of my expressionist protest to injustice.
