Our house was full of wolves, so Normandy Wanted In
Giclee Print of digital painting
44 x 70 inches

I make digital paintings. It’s a very fluid process. At any point I can change the canvas size, or go back to a previous version of a piece. Working this way is almost inhibition free because an image file barely exists until I print it.

I am working from my own life. The people I paint are the people I am most intimate with. The scenes are autobiographical but I use a healthy dose of visual metaphor to save time. You may be surprised to learn that I’m thinking about you while I paint..

When you look at my work I’m sharing something intimate. Power and vulnerability come in the same package as intimacy. I wonder if you know this. I wonder what you do with your share of power. I wonder if I can trust you with my secrets.
